Oracle SCM is Oracle’s Supply Chain Management application, optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations.

This topic describes how to authenticate to Oracle SCM and configure any necessary connection properties in the Oracle SCM connection connector.

Prerequisites #

Connecting to Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM

The following connection properties are required to connect to Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM data.

• Url: The URL of the account that you want to connect to. Typically, this will be the URL of your Oracle Cloud service. Example: https://servername.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com.

• User: The username of your Oracle Cloud service account.

• Password: The password of your Oracle Cloud service account.

Connection Configuration #

Each connection property available in the Oracle SCM connector is explained below.

Connection Name #

The name of the connection to be created should be provided. This is the name that will display on the list of available connections.

URL #

The URL of the Oracle Cloud service account that you want to connect to.

Example: https://servername.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com

APIVersion #

The API Version of Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM to use in requests to Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM.

User #

The Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM user account used to authenticate.

Password #

The password used to authenticate the user.

Enable SSL #

Option for creating the connection with SSL enabled.

Upload Keystore File #

Option to upload keystore file.

Advanced Configureations #

This section contains additional configuration parameters.

Include Custom Child Objects #

Whether Custom Child Objects will be included in the provider metadata.

Include Custom Objects #

Whether Custom Objects will be included in the provider metadata.

Add Configuration: Additional properties can be added using this option as key-value pairs.

After entering all the details, click on the TEST button.

If the connection service identification and authentication details are provided correctly, a success message stating “connection available” is generated.

Click on the CREATE button to save the changes.

If the details are incorrect or the server is down, you will get a message “Connection unavailable”.
